1980 Autometrix introduces Sailmaking Software (SMSW), the first 3D sail design software.

1980's SMSW sales climb worldwide as it becomes the leading 3D sail design software in the industry--a place it holds to this day.

1992 The original (and still operating) Autometrix cutter is sold.

2002 CadShot, the first photo-digitizing system, is introduced to the market.

2003 Introduction of the Model M3, with the industry's first Carbon Fiber Gantry. This ultra-strong lightweight composite material becomes the standard on all Autometrix models.

2005 Debut of the Model X5 Servo machine. The fastest cutting machine on the market, it offers precision cutting speeds up to 72 IPS (inches per second).

Autometrix expands and moves to its current production facility location.

2007 Autometrix Dot Marker makes contactless marking available.

2008 Unveiled the sleek new Model M8 at the IFAI show in Charlotte, NC. This new design boasts several upgraded features and draws huge crowds at the show.

Opened a distributorship in Mexico offering sales, installation, and training to customers in Mexico and South America.

Launched a distributorship in Australia offering sales, installation, and training to our customers 'Down Under.'

2009 Demonstrated the Autometrix Leather System prototype at the IFAI show in San Diego

Introduction of the HideShot software package

Added a distributor location in NY

The Autometrix headquarters is nestled among the pine trees in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. Grass Valley was in the heart of the California Gold Rush in the mid 1800's. It is now home to a number of elite high tech companies.
